I’ve been talking with my good friend Rick for the past few days. Rick turned me on to bluegrass, honky-tonk, and Johnny Cash. So, when I ran across Cactus Lee, I immediately thought of him.
Sometimes, I just want some good, local, country music. I can’t stand the mainstream stuff, but Cactus Lee are clearly not that. Townes van Zandt, Nick Garrie, Jeff Zagers (Wharf Cat Records), and the previously mentioned Johnny Cash would appreciate this music.
