The Exbats - Kicks, Hits and Fits - Cassette
Not to be confused with The Shaggs, or The Osmonds (Partridge Family is okay) We, The Exbats started with a daughter (Inez) and father (Kenny) listening to lots and lots of records and writing songs. We got lucky and caught the ears of Burger Records (thanks Matt from The Resonars, totally the fourth Exbat!) and they put out our first tape in 2017. In 2019 we hit the jackpot again attracting Bobby Carleson Jr. on bass. Our favorite song of ours is probably Iolaus (commonly referred to as Hercules, Iolaus was his best pal on the cool TV show from the 90’s) but it’s really hard to pick a favorite. Our favorite release has to be our latest one “Kicks, Hits and Fits”. We are pretty oblivious to modern trends. Our music is inspired by punk energy and old poppy bands like The Monkees and The Hollies. We like any group that likes to make short catchy songs that sound like hits. We live in Bisbee, Arizona. It’s way down in the south-east corner of the state by the Mexico border. It’s a sweet little hippy town. Come say hi!
