The Sudden Death of Stars - All Unrevealed Parts Of The Unknown - Cassette
French psychedelic revivalists the Sudden Death of Stars formed in the town of Rennes in 2009, the five members of the group preferring to go by the numbers 83, 84, 85, 86, and 87 rather than their given names. They released their first EP in September of 2010 for Close-Up Records, then followed it with an album, Getting Up, Going Down, in 2011. Their sitar-heavy sound, influenced by great psych bands from Fairport Convention to the Rain Parade, caught the ear of the Cornershop-run label Ample Play and they reissued the record in the summer of 2013, with the addition of a bonus track. The next year the group furthered their in-depth examination of all things psychedelic on their slightly more-focused and song oriented second album All Unrevealed Parts of the Unknown, which was released in early spring by Ample Play.
